Paragraph about Stressor
Hey glad your all up and running! Time to get started! Remember this needs to be written like a paragraph you would have on a research paper not sentence fragments. Use correct punctuation and grammar as well as spelling. I look forward to reading your stessor and how it affects you along with how you handle it.

The stressor I continue to face in life is school. I don't just stress about work, but friends and my relationship with the people around me. Don't get me wrong, I stress over work a lot but it's not the only thing that plays a large roll in my stress. A lot of ways i handle the stressor of school is by finding fun ways to study or work. Today Tim Horan and I worked on our SS worksheet together and finished in about 15 minutes. If anyone has any other ways to deal with school life, please let me know!
ReplyDeleteHmm, a stressor. Where do I begin? I would say that the thing that I get stressed out about most would be school. When I think about it, school, especially at this time of the year, shouldn't be stressful, but I still get so stressed out. I come home, eat a snack, and get down to business with my homework, and sometimes it will take me an hour, sometimes it will take me five. I'm pretty much a control freak, so I always have to have everything planned for the next day or I can't sleep. If I don't finish my homework before I have to go to bed, I legit can not sleep. It takes me forever to actually fall sleep, and then I'll be tossing and turning all night. Then the next day I'll be a zombie! School isn't going to go away from me for at least for another ten years. I have to just try to get things, like homework and projects, done as soon as possible with good quality so I can worry about more important things, and not the small things! Maybe some other things that I can do is work out. I know it works, and if I start running, it will also help for high school sports, and I will also be healthier. Lastly, I hate it, but I am such a procrastinator. If I get things done and over with than I wont stress about it last minute later! Speaking of which, I still have more homework. I'll check back later to see everyone else's stressor and see if I can help! See you guys tomorrow!(: Bye!<3
ReplyDeleteMy stressor that puts the most pressure on me would have to be sports. Even though I love playing hockey, football, and baseball, I can receive a lot of stress from it. For example, before a hockey game, I would always throw up. I would always wondering why this happened, but now I know. Also, I can get intimidated in sports more easily because of my past injuries, which were horrible. Going up against tough competition can pump me up, but also intimidate me more because of my past. I can fix both of these situations however if I try. Also, i got help fixing my throwing up issue. My Mom said she'd give me a dollar every time i didn't throw up before a game. I didn't know how that helped me, but it did because I never threw up before a game again! So I am guessing the thought of good things helps me a lot, and this is what I would like to continue doing. For my intimidation stressing me out, I need to improve with confidence. When I do this, it not only helps me do better, but it makes me forget about my past. Anyways, SPORTS IS MY STRESSOR!
ReplyDeleteSee you all tomorrow, Matt #CrouchingCobra Demma
My stressor, for me, is sports. Yes i only play 2 sports, how can this be stressful? Well I'm on 2 hockey teams, but they both havent started up yet, but I'm on a baseball team. Right now, the only way baseball can become a stressor, is either a situation I'm put in, or if I have a game and havent finished homework. I get through this specific stressor by just getting into a zone that i can't describe. A zone that if i focus my hardest i can get all my schoolwork donw in about 30 minutes (depending on the day and what we have). I'm forced sometimes to go out with bases loaded 2 outs and Im not a very good hitter under pressure. In practice, I'm very good, but in games, when it matters, I can be a lot better! I've settled down more at the plate, by just hanging in there and having patience. In my last game i settled down, relaxed my shoulders, and just unloaded all my energy out on a ball, with bases loaded and 2 outs, and it ended up as a bases clearing double. With a team with a lot of people that play AAU, I'm lucky if I get 2 plate apperences a game, but I try my hardest, and thats all what matters. When I have hockey, and when it's in full pace, I try not to let the stress of being exhausted effect how i play. I'm not a good sleeper, and if i fall asleep around midnight, im lucky, so I normally exhausted come practice/ game time. being tired isn't any fun, but i try to focus on doing my part in the game. I feel 100% after i pour water on the back of my neck, and not letting the pain of being exhausted rule me.
ReplyDeleteAdam :) see y'all tomorrow
Oh boy, one of my many stressors is a fear of the unknown. I am a worrier. One of the things I worry about and stress over the most, is my future. I have a fear of things that I have no way of knowing about now. I have a fear of everything unknown, like how I will do on a quiz, and what kind of decisions I will have to make in the future. It may sound silly, but I honestly DO worry over these things. One way I cope with all of this stress and worry is by getting some advice from my Mom or Madison, and just remembering to take it one day at a time. This worrying is not a huge deal; I've never made myself sick or anything. However, when things get stressful, I worry! See you all tomorrow, and remember, take it one day at a time(:
ReplyDeleteMy biggest stressor is not doing something or for getting something that was suppose to be done.Like for exsample not studying for a test or not doing homework. Also forgetting books or homework at school.ways I try cope with it is to write stuff down in my agenda. Also trying to make sure I have everything written down in my agenda and got my books out of my locker.See you tomorrow,Roberto
ReplyDeleteOne of the bigger stressers in my life right now is the musical. This probably comes along with being scared of big crowds. In the moments before I go on stage I feel all the signs of stress: my heart beats faster, my breathing increases, and I feel a burst of energy from adrenaline. The pressure that the spring musical brings is pretty big because all the parents, friends, and students see me perform. Some ways forme to cope is to think that everyone is doing this, and to take big long breaths before I go on stage. This would probably go under the "challenging" aspect of stress.

My main stressor would have to be school. This is because the amount of responsibilities that are expected of me. Also, there are a lot of things to worry about, such as friends and grades. This can make me feel tired or sort of overwhelmed. one way i cope with this is sports. Sports let me get away from it all.
ReplyDeleteGreat posts so far. Remember whatever your stressors are they are not insignificant. Even if it seems small it is not if it causes you to stress out.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest stressors is tests and quizzes. I always spend a lot of time studying and preparing for a test, but on the day of the test I always freeze. I cannot remember the answer and I end up failing. I sometimes do very well on tests, because I study the night before and in the morning of. I am always stressed out if I fail, I always think I might not do good on the next one. I need advice from anyone! Thanks and see yyou all tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest stressors is taking tests and quizzes. I am so stressed about taking these because i don't know if i will do good or not. My parents expect that i get good grades on my tests and quizzes. I always study hard but sometimes rush through it and don't do as well as i should. I sometimes don't get my work and do bad on the quiz or test but now i usually check my quizzes and tests and do alright. I am constantly stressed out about if i did good on a test or quiz and what i got.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest stressor is not knowing something. Very similar to Jackie's sometimes when I get injured or sick I stop being productive until it is fixed or the problem is identified. I also fear fear itself. I hate being scared and can get stressed by the thought of fear. Staying busy is what I have found to be a great stress reliever. Working out, being with friends, listening to music all help with reducing stress. I definitely need the help of others to stay as low stressed as I can.
ReplyDeleteI just realized i had a bigger stressor than school. GIRLS. Like i said in class today...I'm constantly stressed every second wondering if a girl notices what I'm doing. Like today at my baseball game, I struck out and looked around to see if any girls saw. Turns out the ball went past the catcher and i could have ran. I actually almost made it safe to first but they threw me out. Oh well I'll get them next time. But I always worry about how I look or what I'm doing. That's actually a big reason I really want to go to Saint John's in case anyone was really wondering-less stress from girls. I hardly can cope with it though seeing as how there's more girls then guys in the world. But I always try to look good, like maintaining the way i look or smell. I always try to be funny but I've seen that tends to backfire...any ideas? It'd be a huge help(:
ReplyDeletebe yourself(: never ever EVER try to be someone you aren't! If something pops into your mind that is funny and might get a girl to laugh, think to yourself- "is that actually funny? and is it really what I want to say?" I totally get how you can stress about this, but just know that girls understand! If i was at the park i wouldn't laugh or anything, because everyone strikes out! All in all, be yourself, and don't let anyone change the real you(:
Deleteawh thanks jackie(:
DeleteMy biggest stress iS when i think I'm not playing soccer that well.I feel like if i don't play good the coaches will bench me.It actually has happened to me before.I get the feeling that I'm not doing good when most of the time i am. I don't always get the feeling but when i do it stresses me.
ReplyDeleteIt's all good i can hear now! No more pain! The doctor washed out my ear and it hit me like boom i can hear. Ill see all of you tomorrow
ReplyDeleteyou couldnt hear?
DeleteGood to hear Jared! We will see you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOk guys i finally was able to get onto here, my stressor is my not taking up enough responsibility. I spend alot of time on the couch at home using the computer, instead of going outside. Granted the weather is rather crummy, it's still not much of an excuse. I always go outside and skateboard with my friends when the weather is nice. So today i went to an indoor skatepark with my friends for about 2 hours. It got me some excersise, and i had a great time, which relieved me from my stress of not being active. I got back and had a healthy supper, and am feeling much better, i no longer feel very stressed out.
