May 14th - Habit Project Day 1
Well everyone here we go. I am going to workout either in the morning or after school. I am in a rut lately with staying consistent with my workouts. I hope to gain a nice pattern along with all of you in the next two weeks. This is not easy at all but it is ok to change for the better. Every night you will post how you are doing, feeling, and strategies on the upcoming days. This is exciting and I wish you all luck!

Today was a fairly tough day for my habit project. My habit was to stop sleeping in after I turn off my alarm. I was so tired from sports over the weekend that I forgot all about today being the firt day of the project. So this morning I turned off my alarm at 6:30 am and slept in until 7:15. Some ideas for upcoming days would be to write myself a note the night before and stick it on my clock, so I dont forget. I plan to get up at six-thirty and eat breakfast until seven.
ReplyDeleteMy habit is that I always wait to study for a test the morning of or right before the test. I am trying to make time tonight to study for my latin test tommorrow, but this is hard because of a surprise lacrosse practice. I am skipping video games to study. I am noticing that if i miss one thing on my schedule, everything gets screwed up. I also notice that I feel more prepared for tests if I study the night before.
ReplyDeleteAll went well for my habit project. Instead of coming home from school and eating a bunch of junk food, I ran one mile. I felt better about myself and my health. I also forgot about all my stressors. I think I want to continue exercising like this because it not only helps my body, but it makes me quicker and better in baseball. I also didn't follow through with watching TV for an hour and going on the computer. I replaced this time with watching a Holy Name baseball game.
ReplyDeletemy habit is that I don't do my work right away when i get home. today i went straight to doing my homework when i got home and finished at 5:30. im so far following my schedule and hope that i can keep it up.
ReplyDeletePlease you correct grammar and capitalization. Be more in depth with your posts. How did you feel? How did you think it will continue? What did you do to pass the time?
DeleteMy habit project to eat better has gone better today than I thought it would. After work, I wanted to get frozen yogurt, but like we discussed in class today, we are constantly making decisions that we have complete control over. I chose to walk home with a soda instead of Frozen Yogurt...can't say it was a more healthy decision, but I saved myself 5 bucks so clap clap clap for Devlin!

DeleteWell that's why it says low-fat. But let's be honest, I'm not putting kiwi and strawberrys on it.
DeleteAnd I also said buying a coke wasn't exactly a healthy decision..but its more healthy than cookie dough and gummie bears.
DeleteMy habit goal was to control my anger. Today was a win because so far I have not gotten angry. The problem with this is I had nothing to be angry about today. But I intend to keep my cool no matter what happens. See you guys tomorow.
ReplyDeleteMy habit was to stop eating so much when I get home. I figured that I ate because I was bored, so instead of watching tv i went outside until my dad came home. This went extremely well and I'll try to continue the success.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you do outside? Why did it work? What did your dad coming home signify? Be more in depth with the journals?
DeleteMy habit is to stop putting myself down all the time. I always put myself down and say that I'm not pretty or not skinny or not good enough. There isn't a specific time where I put myself down everyday, but I probably do it at least once everyday. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to stop/fix this. (Suggestions would be great, thanks) I was thinking that I could do my make-up nice everyday, do my hair nice everyday, and work out. To do this I'll have to make extra time everyday to do my hair and make up and to work out. I go on my laptop a lot so I can cut down on that and start planning what I will do for my make up and hair for the next day and I can also workout. I'm not "fat", but I would love to tone myself, and maybe loose some weight. I'm at a healthy weight, but I would feel so much better about myself if I lost about fifteen pounds. Another way that I can loose weight to to eat a little healthier. I've followed my schedule pretty well today. See everyone tomorrow!(:
ReplyDeleteI did not get angry today. I had a fun day and spent time with my mom. I hope to keep this same schedule that I made. Today was a success.
ReplyDeleteWhat was fun about your day? What trigger s did not happen that usually cause you to get angry? How do you think the two weeks will go? Go into more depth about your habit, feelings, emotions and strategies.
DeleteMy habit is that I get down on myself a lot. I always take things to heart, and I definitely had a successful day. I am on a new softball team, and I am playing with high school girls. My biggest problem is worrying about what everyone thinks of me, how well I do, and if the coach likes me. I have played every inning so far, and today I took the constructive criticism. I accepted the fact that this will help me with high school, and I am doing much better. Today was the light at the end of the tunnel for softball, and I am so glad! Advice would be very much appreciated! (p.s, I am not getting down on myself for me, but I am always worrying about what other people think- absolutely ZERO confidence!) See you all tomorrow :D
ReplyDeleteMy habit was procrastinating my homework. Today i got home, had a healthy snack, and tried to start my homework at four. Unfortunately, my brother had friends over and they forced me to play a game with them. It's kind of hard to say no to them because they are a foot taller than me and they would squash me. So i didnt start my homework until 7:00 (as usual) and I finished right about now. Now my whole schedule is messed up! What to do what to do?
ReplyDeleteMy habbit was using electronics too much. Today went well. I usually spend time either on my phone or the computer, but today I went outside and played basketball with my friend. I found that it is easy to give something up when you are replacing it with somehting you like to do.
ReplyDeleteMy habit is to do homework later then when I got home.so I did my homework right when I got home and it went good.
ReplyDeleteYou need to be more in depths with your habit. How do you feel? How do you think it will go in the up coming days? What are you doing to pass the time in instead of doing your bad habit? Anything else you are feeling please write about.
DeleteToday was tough for me but I found some good peer pressure from a friend. I went out to his house to watch the celtics and before the game we do an insanity workout. Slight problem is I am realizing I have a hip/hamstring/lower back injury. Today it was really noticeable and I went to the chiropractor for it and thought that fixed it but was apparently mistaken. Sorry to everyone for not being able to get on the blog earlier but I had to drive home after the tough clerics loss. I will see you all tomorrow, good night!
ReplyDeleteMy habit is coming home and watching too much TV. I did not too good today because even though in came home at a healthy snack and took a run i still played video games with my brother when i came home from my run. I think this is because of it raining there was not much to do. Hopefully i will do better tomorrow and it will not rain so i can play lacrosse or basketball. Overall today was a struggle
ReplyDeleteMy habit is I spend to much time arguing with people. I hope this project will help me learn to do more productive things with my time instead of arguing with people about silly things. Today I did pretty well, but not at first. When I got home from school I got in a argument with my brother but other than that it was a pretty productive habit project day. Hopefully tomorrow I will be one step closer to getting rid of this bad habit!
ReplyDeleteMy habit is that i don't exercise enough. Even though I do sports , I only have that twice a week. My goal is that this project will get me in a habit of running in the morning, and shooting hoops, after school. I want to stop my habit of just sitting on the couch or on the computer, that just takes time. Today was not that good but there is still time to change that.
ReplyDeleteMy bad habit is watching too much T.V. Today I had a little trouble trying to watch more than two hours. Tommorrow I will better myself. Today I also was distracted in reading a comic than a book.
ReplyDeleteMy second bad habit was that I do my homework a little late. I was stuck on my homework a little and I ate dinner early. I spend the rest of the night trying to remember something. So my day was a little better.
