- I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Very stressful and bad day...can't say it was an accomplishment, but I did what i had to for my project. I bought a water instead of a coke. It's going better than yesterday and I hope it continues. The stress today makes me want to eat, but I'll just watch TV or hopefully run. It's so nice out so I will most likely end up playing catch with my brother. At thi point I'm willing to do anything to put my day at school behind me and move on. I just want summer...but the project's going excellent and i hope it continues to go well.
ReplyDeleteVery good day! I was supposed to have basketball practice today, but it got cancelled. I am getting way better at not taking things to heart at extracurricular activities. I am about to go outside and run, and play basketball. I haven't given any thought to putting myself down- so happy! Like I said, exercising helps with my confidence a lot, and next time it rains, I am going outside no matter what! :) I feel change coming! Thank you so much and see you all tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI had an okay day today. I slept pretty well, had a great morning, and went to school. After school I did my homework immediately and finished it earlier than I usally do. I'm starting to get better at doing my work right away instead of fooling around and getting distracted. So far I like this project because it's helping me set a goal for myself and I'm getting a grade for it. I feel better about myself and I hope that everyone else can also keep up with their goals, good luck.

ReplyDeleteDay 3 didn't go as planned, but I DID get the work in. (Just not as much as a wanted to. This is because I watched another baseball game, so I couldn't run in a faster time range... BUT, on the other hand, I did about the same as I did yesterday. However my day is not over. Later on, my father and I are going to go down to the park where there is a pitcher's mound. I will get the work in there, and to make it even better, I will run there. In this way, i'll get even more work in, but it won't be in a faster time range than yesterday.
*I also had a healthy snack (a banana) when I came home :)

DeleteToday went good. I went to the gym after school. I ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes. After I work out I always geel stress free and happy. It is very nice to feel stress free as a teenager. I also got along with Kayla today. I am happy that we have not been bickering lately. I hope all of my days go like this. See you all tomorrow and go Celtics:)
ReplyDeleteToday was really warm when I got home, what a change, so I decided to spend the whole day outside. I got a healthy snack, blackberries, and stayed out till six so I could see the weather forcast. Today was a little easier going than the other days as well cause I was able to stop myself from staying inside around the kitchen. But I have to admit I had a better day at school than I ,am right now. My sister is being really annoying and pushing my buttons, well that's how family is I suppose. So I decided I'm going to go upstairs, cool off, and start my homework. Hope that the storm doesn't hit and I'll see you all tomorrow:0
ReplyDeleteToday went really well.I was outside playing basketball for 45 minutes and then I went out to the gym for a hour.Then for dinner I ate really healthy I had a salad and some fruit.I did alot better than yesterday.So you all tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHey everyone!(: Hope everyone's doing good! So today has been an average day. I woke up on time and I wasn't rushing around in the morning. I didn't spend that long on my hair, and no time at all on my make up. I only wore mascara in stead of mascara, eye liner, and eye shadow. I finished most of my homework. Brody had a tee ball game, and that was adorable. I was supposed to have a basketball practice, but it was cancelled. We were also supposed to have a tournament this weekend in Keene, but that got cancelled too!): I just finished a healthy, filling supper, and I'm finishing my homework. When I'm done with homework I'm going to play Just Dance 3. It might not be the best work out, but it's fun, I sweat, I love to dance, and I burn calories, it's perfect!(: See everyone tomorrow!

DeleteToday was good, but different. This morning I woke up at 6:00 am because my mom had PT. This kind of threw off my schedule a bit, and it was really tough not to go back to sleep after I turned off my alarm. I stuck to my schedule of taking a shower immediately and it worked out great. Because of not sleeping in this morning, I had a ton of time to study for vocab. Im feeling pretty good about this project right now. I hope everyone is feeling good too! See you guys tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Evan that it is great that we are setting goals for our selves, and getting a grade for it!! I just realized that i have not formally said my habit and strategy on the blog yet. My habit is studying in the morning only, and my strategy is to study with homework and treat it as homework. I just tell myself that i wouldn't do homework on the way to school. Today was a stressful day at school. My schedule was a bit thrown off this morning because i had to go to PT with my mom. This project makes my day less stressful though! This is because my day has structure. I have never gone by a schedule hour by hour, and its kind of fun to do that in this project. Good luck and see everyone tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteToday went better than planned. I came home, ate a healthy snack, and then did my homework. I had some much left over time that I almost forgot to do this because I was so proud of myself. I played with my friends and got some more exercise. Unfortunately i had to babysit my younger cousin. So when she was watching some show that I don't know, I brought my weights upstairs and starting working out. I'm glad I saw what Mr. Phillips said to Maddie , or I would've just stayed inside. No excuses for me! Alright see everyone tomorrow! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I tried cooking tonight and it went pretty well. I made a pizza from scratch (my family for some reason had dough for pizza and sauce and cheese). The pizza was pretty delicious if I must say so myself. I also made some brownies for dessert and they were also delicious. I might have a future as a chef. Thanks for the advice Mr. Phillips!

DeleteNice to here succes stories and people seeing what structure can do for you. I think the yoga made a big difference with my back but it's still tight. I stretched did pushups and a 10 minue ab workout. We also had a golf committee meeting which was stressful because it was during the celtics but that turned out well. Speaking of the golf tourney if anyone knows anyone who plays get them in. It is filling up fast but we want more parents to be involved and you guys to join when you are alumi in the years to come. It is such a fun day! Also cleaned some of the house and now bedtime. Good night see you tomorrow morning.

DeleteDay 3 went very unexpected. I workde out with the AHS team and got a ride from a Junior. I was going to Drews ( its his birthday today!!) Tee-Ball game, when i got there and realized "his games tomorrow." I said to myself "lovely" and i ran down the hill, to the left, past the intersection, across the street, and ended back at AHS. this was probably about a little over a mile total. Before tha i ran through the whole working out thing, bench pressed, sqwats, and i did pushups and situps. I ran about 3 miles today :/. It's not like it's bad, i just feel it in my legs, expecially my goin :/. Anyone have any ideas about how i can stretch them out? This project is by far my favorite project I've ever had to do, but i also think it's the hardest. I hope everyone achieves what they want to do today, and throughout the weeks, see you all tomorrow... Bye :)

Today was the most successful day yet.I had such a big temtation to get mad at my mom today because she told me that I was going to have a miserable weekend. I know that this is punishment for not doing my homework and I know that I deserve it. Even though it peeved me off I just let it go. Sounds like everybody had a successful night.
ReplyDeleteToday was pretty easy for me. I didn't have much extra time to use the computer or watch tv. After I did my homework I went outside and played basketball for an hour. Then I had a basebaball game and that took about two hours. Right now is the only time I actually thought about going on the computer. I also like that I was very active today. You just get a good tired feeling after a long day.
ReplyDeleteToday was such a productive day! I didn't argue with anyone at all. I also achieved everything I wanted to on my schedule and more. I exercised, played basketball, and walked my dogs with my dad. Im beginning to see if I focus more of my time on productive things like today the less time I have to focus on sitting around arguing with people. I hope everything keeps going well with my project. It makes my day so much less stressful and me a lot happier.
ReplyDeleteDay 3 of the habit product was a good day. It was easy to not sit on the couch and eat because I had to do my homework right when I got home. I had to do this because I had to umpire. Umpiring takes up a lot of my time which could have been used for sitting on the couch and watching T.V and eating junk food. Also it is kind of a workout because I umpired the bases today and I had to run from base to base. Overall today was another successful day. Also I have been thinking about what I was eating for junk and fruit and healthy snacks are so much better. I have been staying away from the junk food cabinet and hopefully i can keep this up.
ReplyDeleteToday my Dad got a line drive ball, to the face. We had to got to the urgent care area. I was there for 3 hours waiting for results. After a while my Mom wanted me and my sister and brother just go home. When I got home I just got to see what time it was, 9:25. At 11:30 my Mom came home with Dad. Even though I was so scared, because he had torn his cornea, Dad was moaning on his bed, I asked his a obvious question, "Does it hurt?" Michael (brother) I think was in shock, his face was pale, and he had disbelief all over his face. I was the same way but only because I have heard so stories about how people have lost there eye cause of ball to the face. I really need to run to get the adrenaline, and stress out of my system but i couldn't I was just to confused about the situation. Instead I just listened to music on my bed. I really hope he gets well.
ReplyDeleteMy third day was far better for my scedule. My bad habit was not doing some exercise really often. So I ran a few laps and did some push ups for about an hour. Though I still need to workout a little more.
ReplyDeleteToday was much better than yesterday. I work up at 7:00,took a shower,got dressed and did my makeup. Instead of using my phone, i eat breakfast and got to school on time. When i got home, i did my homework right away then studied for my Latin test. After went outside and worked out for one hour. my body is soar. i haven't worked out for a long time.
